Applied Behavior Analysis
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): ABA is a methodology that uses behavioral techniques to teach new skills. Some examples of behavioral techniques include prompting (such as modeling) to create a successful environment and using reinforcement to keep motivation high. ABA is a science.
The ABA strategies we use are based on thousands of research studies that demonstrate effective teaching. ABA can be used to teach all ages, all abilities and all types of skills, however it is more commonly known to be the go-to method to teach children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
What to expect from ABA intervention:
• One or more Behavior Technicians working with you and your child each session
• A Program Supervisor working with you, your child and the Behavior Technician several times per month to provide training and review progress, questions and concerns
• A Clinical Supervisor visiting once per month (approximately) to review progress, questions, concerns, program needs/changes. Also, they will provide training for you.
